July 29 Park Ranger Sharon...
...helped us out immensely - especially since it was our first time to the site and we had some campsite confusion. While both professional and kind, her assistance made our trip to Alta Lake excellent.

this place is beautiful and it became a traditional place to visit. kind poeple and i look forward every year to go hiking and ride horses.
May 27 No power
Beautiful lake and surrounding area. The horseback tour is a major plus, but unfortunately there are a bunch of power boats and jet skis on this small lake; would be much nicer for everyone if these folks would go to Chelan instead.
January 10 A place I come back too time after time. by Juanito
I love this place we come here at least two times a year. Its worth the three and a half hour drive from marysville.
August 10 just awesome, restrooms need work tho by maple valley family :)
We went twice this summer. Water is warm and clean to swim in. Camp sites are good but privacy poor. Like the other ratings bathrooms were just flat out horrid. We complained to the park officials there.
July 20 Beautiful location by R & M Thomas (England)
What a stunning place but oh what a pity about the dirty restrooms/showers. We stayed July 2010 over a holiday weekend and although the site seemed to be very well patrolled by wardens, no-one seemed to take care of the sanitation. Great pity because the area is stunning.
June 26 Nice gettaway
This was our first time there. It was peaceful and nice. Very pretty lake. We tried to catch fish the 3 days we were there but no luck. The only bad thing was there is no privacy when camping. Everyone is right there together.
May 19 fav place every year tradition!! by Genevieve
My family and friends go there every year the end of july. we take the jet skis out and have the most fun in the same state we live in. July 7 Great Park. Horrible facilities. by jg
I was just there for 4th of July weekend 2009. We had a great time and will continue to come back. However, the bathrooms and showers are horrible! Its one of the biggest weekends of the year and the bathroom closest to our camp was damn near out of service all weekend so I had to walk further to get to the main bathrooms. I know its camping but when you walk in to the bathrooms theres bees, spiders and flying and crawling bugs everywhere and the toilets are horrible. Shut the damn doors! Put up a few bee and flying insect traps and throw some drain aid in the toilets and shower and that would fix the problem. I work for the state and know how things work. It doesnt take much to have a descent bathroom.
July 1 great park by oksana
awesome
August 22 mr by peter gbeve
thanks
May 29 A nice place to start summer camping by FYLER05
A quiet park in the trees, the upper utility sites are pretty bad they sit a top some rough grade broken up concrete (it needs a repave badly) the utilty sites are power water only, so if you are there for a week you will need to brel camp dump tanks then do the reverse (not very vacation like) the lake is very small and ski times are constrained by fishing in the morning and again in the evening (its not the best tournament ski lake) Brian the ranch owner down the end of the road has 100 head of horses and can take you on a horseback riding tour a two hour, 4 hour or even all day its really realy nice! the 18 hole golf course is really nice too, if you are as bad of golfer as me its a great place. If you want to go down to the lake from your camp spot its a long jorney especially if you have much gear to bring and the beach is not very inviting (better to stay in the boat) The nearby trails provide a little adventure for hiking and mountain biking. All in all Alta Lake is a good place to take the family, dont forget your lifejackets and even a small boat to enjoy the lake preferably a ZODIAC with a little motor or a Kayak, Canoe thart word be fine. enjoy and have a great 2008 camping season.
